This subconscious pull
Dragging me toward you
Like the incoming tide
And the pitch white sand
While we hop clear
Only to stumble again
Tangled on the shore
As the churning foam recedes
Replaced by numbness
An absence of sound
Wrapped up in irony
Thick and viscous
Replacing a love
We thought was endless
This slate gray thing
That used to be brilliant
Now a squalling storm
But sustained on mute
As consequential as apathy
Left bleeding on the beach
A mile away from the remnants
Of you and me.
Sam

Martin, I apologize. I did look for who the original image was from but I couldn’t find a name. I shouldn’t have used it without going further. Would you like me to remove it or add your name to it?
Hello Sam, giving me credit is just fine! I have released some of my work for private users (as long as I get credit), so I’m happy if you share it. Thank you!
