Shifting Gears

I shifted gears
Drive to neutral
Neutral to drive
In blurry motions
Trapped in the space
Between 0 and 60
Repetitive
Dangerously real
Consequence moving
Fast and hard
Like throwing dice
And coming up snake eyes
Engine revved
Purring smoothly
But ineffective
As I used to be
Before the fall
Prior to this
A moment in time
Stuck on pause
Shifting gears
Drive to neutral
Neutral to drive
But going nowhere.
