5. Extremely shy and reserved.
She can most often be found at home surrounded by her 8 cats (because they’re the only people who understand her). She has a job as a data processor because the man in the suit felt sorry for her. He only pays her peanuts but she isn’t confident enough to challenge him on it, but she does her job efficiently, even if she has no work friends. She wishes she were more outgoing, but she finds she cannot bring herself to approach anyone. So, she spends a lot of time on-line, with one or two cats sitting on her feet.
4. Overly exuberant and outgoing.
She is a regular member of the hottest clubs in town. She never pays a cover charge, not because she’s beautiful, but because she makes the party bounce. You can often find her up on the bar dancing to whatever song happens to be playing. Everyone is her friend because she includes everyone in either her inner or outer circle. People in her periphery feel they know her as intimately as family. She is loud and gregarious, a poster child for every wannabe, but she’s an alreadyam, and she lets everyone know it. She has a job in PR, where she is the biggest endorser in the office. Of course, sometimes she worries that she will become yesterday’s news, so she does things bigger and louder, until she can’t tell difference between the pitch in the room and the din in her own head. And she likes it that way.
3. Somewhat shy, but emerging.
She shops at Macy’s every Saturday like clockwork because she’s promised herself one new outfit every week. She has in image to uphold, even if she doesn’t quite think she fits that image. She read in a book somewhere that to maintain an image is almost as good as being that person. Wish is reality, in her head, so she continues to buy her new outfits with money she doesn’t have in order to impress people who don’t know she exists. But she is making strides in other ways as well. Sometimes she sits with the larger group at lunch in the office building where she works as a secretary. Occasionally she even joins in the conversation, knowing as she does that talking to others is one way for her to become that butterfly she always wishes she could become.
2. Somewhat outgoing.
She leads a life others admire, but she doesn’t know it. In her mind, she is a relative wallflower, even though she is on several committees. She owns a local internet cafe where she meets a multitude of people who admire her entrepreneurial spirit. Every day she meets her girlfriends for brunch, and they discuss literature and horticulture. She dreams of having a vibrant nightlife, but that may come in the future if she is lucky. But for now, she is okay being in her own skin. For now.
1. Neither outgoing, nor reserved.
She is one of the masses, going to work every day, then coming home. She has a handful of friends who she has had since high school. They would do anything for her, and vice versa. She has no designs on anything more because she feels satisfied with what she has. She pities the people who feel they have to be flashy to be worthy, and she pities the people who don’t have what she has: good friends, and a satisfying life. For her, life is wonderfully placid, and she will never change a thing.
