On Parenting and Parenthood

What a family.

Deciding to become a parent is the single biggest decision you’ll ever make, aside from finding a life partner who will be there to help you rear your children. Working hard to be the best parent you can possibly be to your children is a challenge, every second of every day, but if it was easy then anyone could be a good parent just by waking up in the morning. I know I work hard at it, and I’m blessed to have a life partner who also shares that vision and responsibility. These blog posts are in no way meant to be a How-To for parents and parenting. We have our own strengths and weaknesses. We are individuals. But they’re here to show you what I’ve discovered about my own parenting style, and how I got that style, from my own parents. It exists between those worlds of parenting and parenthood, where we all seem to live these days.
